Shibuya Codes and How to Redeem Them

Last updated:

The current list of Shibuya codes with each code's rewards and status, and a walkthrough for redeeming codes in Shibuya [Beta] on the character-creation screen, from the menu, or in chat.

Quick answer

The table below lists the codes currently reported working for Shibuya [Beta] with the rewards each one gives, and the summary beneath it counts the current list. Redeem codes on the character-creation screen, from the in-game menu, or through the chat with an exclamation mark before the code, like !publictesting.

  • Creation-screen method: the character creation and customization screen has its own code-redemption option in the upper-right corner, so you can claim rerolls before you even step into the game.
  • Menu method: press M, type the code into the Enter Code field at the lower-left of the menu window, then hit Enter.
  • Chat method: type ! in front of the code — the exclamation mark is only needed in chat; the menu accepts codes as written.
  • A working code shows an on-screen message listing every reward you received.
  • Rewards are mostly rerolls: clan, race and Cursed Technique rerolls, plus face, hair color and theme rerolls in the larger bundles.

Shibuya [Beta] is Project M's Jujutsu Kaisen-inspired fighting game set 1,000 years after the original story. It is in its early stages and things are subject to change, which is one reason its code scene moves fast. Nearly every code pays out in rerolls — a fresh attempt at the clan, race or Cursed Technique you start with — so codes are effectively free character do-overs. Every row below comes from recent source listings with its own check date, the summary under the table counts what is currently listed, and the archive near the end records codes whose latest supported status is expired.

Working Shibuya codes

CT is short for Cursed Technique, and codes in this game can expire without warning, so availability at the moment you redeem is never guaranteed. The status on each row tells you where it came from: Reported means a source listing documented the code as working, while Tested means a completed in-game redemption is documented — no Shibuya code has a tested status yet, so the on-screen reward message is your confirmation.

How to redeem codes in Shibuya [Beta]

There are three working entry points, and they all lead to the same rewards.

1. On the character creation or customization screen. The screen where you build your character has its own code spot — look for the code-redemption option in the upper-right corner. Type or paste a code there and hit Enter, which lets you claim rerolls before you ever step into the game proper.

2. From the in-game menu. Any time after character creation, inside a server:

  1. Start Shibuya in Roblox.
  2. Create your character, and finish the tutorials if you prefer.
  3. Press M to open the menu.
  4. Enter your code in the dedicated Enter Code field in the lower-left corner of the new window. (Another description of the same menu places a Codes section near the bottom, with the code going into its text box.)
  5. Hit Enter to claim your free rewards.

3. Through the in-game chat. Open the chat box and type ! followed by the code — for example !publictesting or !sorryforlag. The menu takes codes exactly as written; chat is different and always needs the exclamation mark in front of the code.

However you redeem, success looks the same: a message appears on your screen listing all the rewards you received, whether you used the chatbox or the code section of the settings menu.

Shibuya codes not working? Fix these first

Work through these checks before writing a code off:

Problems and fixes

A code does nothing when you submit it

Wrong entry method for where you typed it

Suggested response

The menu accepts codes directly, but chat needs an exclamation mark (!) before the code.

A code comes back wrong or invalid

Capitalization or spelling does not match

Suggested response

Copy the code exactly as written in the table above; some codes are capitalization- and spelling-sensitive.

The code still fails after a correct entry

Suggested response

Rejoin the game and try again before assuming the code has expired.

One warning before you write a code off: expired-code lists for this game contradict each other. Codes marked expired by one guide reappear as active in other guides' newer lists, and at least one guide states there are no expired Shibuya codes at all. Treat any expired list as that source's snapshot rather than a final verdict — the rejoin-and-retry check above is the reliable test. Codes whose latest supported status is expired are archived in the table below; a code that fails everywhere may simply have been retired by the developers.

Expired Shibuya codes

The archive below lists codes whose most recent supported status is expired. An archived code keeps the last rewards reported for it, and some archived codes were only ever listed without a named reward.

What Shibuya code rewards are used for

Codes are the free route to rerolls, and rerolls are how you steer a character toward a combination you actually want to play.

  • Clan Rerolls give you another try at finding a clan that suits the way you fight. See the Shibuya clans guide for what you are rolling for, and the reroll guide for how rerolling works overall.
  • Cursed Technique Rerolls — the CT Rerolls in most rewards — change your Cursed Technique, and they apply to Common, Rare, Legendary and Mythic techniques. Unique-rarity techniques are the exception: they cannot be obtained with rerolls at all, and each has its own obtainment method. Browse options in the Shibuya cursed techniques catalog, or read how to get cursed techniques for every route outside rerolls.

Rewards also include Race Rerolls (covered in our Shibuya races guide) and, in the bigger bundles, Face, Hair Color and Black Flash Theme rerolls. If you run dry and do not want to wait for codes, Cursed Technique Rerolls can also be purchased with Robux — codes are simply the way to build the same stockpile for free.

Where to find new Shibuya codes

The official Shibuya Discord server is the main place new codes appear. Developers post announcements, update logs, sneak peeks and promotional rewards in the Shibuya Discord, and they usually say when a code is expiring — favoriting the Codes channel makes new drops easy to spot. The developer's Roblox community announcements are the other official place to watch. New codes tend to arrive with updates, bug fixes and community milestones rather than on a fixed schedule, and our Shibuya updates page tracks the changes that usually bring them.

One milestone is already on the record: the official Shibuya [Beta] page description promises “NEXT CODE AT 4000 LIKES!”, so the next code is tied to the game reaching 4,000 likes. That promise reflects the page as last checked, and the developer updates it there first when the milestone moves. Bookmark this page — when that code lands, its entry goes straight into the table above.

Code sources

Codes on this page are reported, not tested: each row's status comes from the source listings below, and the check date beside a code shows when that source last listed it.

Sources and check records

Reported statuses reflect source listings. Tested statuses reflect in-game redemption checks. Source-check dates are shown beside each code.
